I grew up with chickens and the type I often recall were the japanese fantail banties the landlord gave to my parents when we lived in California. My parents currently own several varieties of banties especially kuchens and fantails.
Enough of the barnyard reminisce, I have been meaning to paint chickens for a while. Oddly enough, when I was trying to work on a hummingbird piece, I got the urge to paint a rooster on some of my clay board I have been hording for just a occasion.
And well since I painted a rooster, I got the urge to make a set, so here is the hen.
This is watercolor on clayboard.
Prints are 10 and 12 dollars and cards are 2.00 and 3.00 dollars. The original is also up for grabs if interested. Just shoot me an email. And if you want both the rooster and the hen, we can talk.
